Moya has specialised in all aspects of family law for the past 18 years. Since 2013 her portfolio expanded to include property disputes and high court commercial litigation. She is also a qualified conveyancer and an accredited family law and commercial law mediator.
After completing her studies at Stellenbosch University, and a short stint as junior lecturer in the Law Faculty of Stellenbosch University, Moya commenced her legal career in Cape Town. Moya returned to her hometown of Port Elizabeth in 2010 where she practiced as a partner at Kaplan Blumberg Attorneys and thereafter as an equity director at Greyvensteins Inc.
Moya has the right of appearance in the High Court, but also handles matters in the Regional Court, Children’s Court and all other lower courts. Moya’s work ethic speaks of an unwavering commitment to serving her clients’ best interests.
Having dealt with highly conflictual family disputes on a daily basis, she believes that her success lies in being straightforward and consistent with clients while assisting them through an incredibly difficult time with efficiency and empathy.
She is also passionate about alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and promotes awareness around mediation as a user-friendly, flexible and cost-effective alternative to litigation. She has served on the ADR Committee of the former Cape Law Society as well as the executive committee of SEDRA (South Eastern Dispute Resolution of Association). More recently Moya was elected to serve as an Executive Committee Member of the Eastern Cape Family Forum.
As a qualified conveyancer, coupled with having a Master’s degree in commercial law, assisting clients with property disputes and commercial high court litigation is a perfect fit that has seen her practice grow rapidly in the past few years.
Giving back to her community is important to Moya. She serves on the board and management committee of Yokhuselo Haven (the only safe house for abused women and their children in Port Elizabeth). Moya also offers the Haven’s client intake legal advice and assistance as her pro-bono contribution to her community.
After completing her LL.B studies at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, as an exchange student, the travelling bug never left Moya. She still enjoys exploring new places and people locally and abroad. In her free time, she enjoys going to the theatre and spending time with her husband and two children. Moya believes the best stress reliever to be a good glass of wine and the fine company of family and friends.

Andrea has practised civil litigation in the Magistrate’s Court using her Toastmaster’s skills refined during her days as a student. She has practised as Moya’s Associate since 2018 and decided to join her at Moya Rossouw Inc. in 2021. Andrea also qualified as Notary Public at the start of 2021.
Andrea studied a LL.B degree at the former Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Throughout her LL.B studies, Andrea displayed strong leadership and management skills and was actively involved with the NMMU Law Students Society. Andrea held positions on the sub-committee and the executive committee of the Law Students Society before being elected as chairperson in her final year of studies. During her tenure, the Society was named the NMMU Academic Society of the Year and NMMU Overall Society of the Year. One of the highlights of her involvement was being invited to attend the LL.B Summit to discuss the future of the LL.B qualification of South Africa, in Johannesburg. The Summit was hosted by the South African Law Deans’ Association, the Law Society of South Africa, and the General Council of the Bar.
After completing her LL.B, Andrea was employed by the NMMU Law Faculty as a teaching and research assistant and lectured the first year legal skills modules for law students.
Her previous employment in academia has developed her affinity for legal research and the drafting of legal opinions and pleadings at the initial stages of engaging with clients. Andrea enjoys working closely with colleagues and understands that a multi-disciplinary approach is often the best course of action for an effective solution.
Andrea is originally from Johannesburg but completed matric at Kingswood College in Grahamstown. She is a classically trained clarinettist and pianist, having completed her Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music grade 8 in clarinet and grade 7 in piano. Whenever possible, Andrea enjoys travelling and broadening her horizons, firmly believing that it helps her develop a better understanding of her clients.
